BEDA Day 1

It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that I cannot stick to anything for 30 days.

You might argue, "Hey, you've been on this diet of yours for over 2 years!" or "You gave up dating for Lent, that's longer than a month!" Okay, you, calm down. I'll clarify. 1. I can give things up for a very long time, but when it comes to adding them every day? Friend, you're off your gourd. 2. Yes, I gave up dating for Lent. No, it wasn't that hard. When you're perpetually single, giving up dating is kind of a cop out.

I thought about vlogging every day this month, but the thing is, I just don't have time to get that pretty for the internet every day.

So here I am, fingers to keys, promising to produce content every day for the month of April. Some of it will be mundane. Most of it will be nerdy(ahem, enthusiastic). I will probably share poetry and rants and raves and videos. If you're willing to come with me on this mini-journey, I might even share a picture of a cat. (Hint: I will.)

Let's go.

For Katie

What Butters looked like on Day One! He's lost some kitty pounds since then. :)

“I do not believe that the accident of birth makes people sisters and brothers. It makes them siblings. Gives them mutuality of parentage. Sisterhood and brotherhood are conditions people have to work at. It’s a serious matter. You compromise, you give, you take, you stand firm, and you’re relentless…And it is an investment. Sisterhood means if you happen to be in Burma and I happen to be in San Diego and I’m married to someone who is very jealous and you’re married to somebody who is very possessive, if you call me in the middle of the night, I have to come.”
